I may not have Christmas decorations up yet but you better believe that I've begun present preparations! I wanted to try a craftier, more personalized approach to Christmas gifts this year as I normally go a more commercialized route. Even more than the sentimental bonus, however, is the comforting thought of avoiding all those horrid department stores. Praise! Let's stay home and sip cocoa, you guys!
For some of my favorite ladies, I decided to make an all-natural, organic Lemon Honey body scrub. ^^
The recipe consisted of:
Organic olive oil
Raw, organic honey
Lemon essential oil
The hardest part about making this scrub was resisting the urge to taste it! Smells like a lemon drop and makes your skin feel like a dream. (Yes, I made some for myself and already tested it out. Hehe.)
Artifact Uprising has an awesome variety of picture display ideas for your favorite Instagram (or regular camera roll) shots. Calendars, hardback books and prints, to name a few. Pictured above ^^ is the cover of one of the books I ordered. I designed and ordered the book entirely on their app!
We're traveling to Tennessee for the holidays, so I've been thinking of portable, gift wrapping ideas that are compact and can withstand the journey.
I'm supporting the super adorable Etsy shop, Mint & Arrows with my gift choice for the nieces that I'm packaging in small, durable bags with their names printed on the tags. ^^
Macs and I had the most awesome time on Sunday sitting in the kitchen, drinking our Starbucks and playing with the stamps and ink for this project. Bonding and making gifts... What could be better? *dreamy sigh*
If you have any awesome, DIY gift ideas you'd like to share I'm all ears!
Since it's only three days till Thanksgiving (eeeek!!!), I feel like it's okay to start saying,
HAPPY HOLIDAYS, people! xoxo
