Hi.

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome to Self Care Summer Part 2! In addition to getting my health under control and striving to thrive from (most importantly) the inside out, I've put a little bit of effort into the external shell of my body as well, which has been on the back burner for years and hit hard by the stress of life and complicated motherhood. I'm not much of a make-up girl and my hair is low maintenance, but pretty teeth take a bit of intentionality. I recently gave up coffee, but years and years of daily black coffee and the occasional red wine take its toll on anyone's teeth!

I've teamed up with Smile Brilliant (https://www.smilebrilliant.com) to show you some before and afters' of my pearly whites, do a product review and offer you a chance to win a giveaway or simply use my code for a discount on your own whitening set (https://www.smilebrilliant.com/product/teeth-whitening-trays).

Several friends and family members have been asking about this post, because they're waiting to use the code for themselves, which is the true testament to how well these whitening trays work.

I've tried whitening systems before with adequate results, but the combination of my dental sensitivity and the irritation of all those slipping strips has not particularly inspired me to repeat a treatment. I also regularly practiced oil pulling, but never saw the professional whitening results that I was after.

The process was simple.

I received my package in the mail with the ingredients for three dental molds and all the whitening gel. I made my dental impressions and sent them back to Smile Brilliant in a package that they had included, complete with postage. I received an email two days later that my impressions had been received, reviewed and my official teeth whitening trays (fitted perfectly for MY teeth) would be on their way shortly.

My custom trays!

My custom trays!

Once they arrived, it was time to get down to business.

The whitening kit included four syringes filled with the whitening gel and four syringes filled with desensitizing gel (which I only used twice, because I did not experience sensitivity with the whitening gel!). Each syringe contains enough gel for four applications, so I had up to sixteen potential whitening treatments. I only needed eight to reach my desired results (white, but not blinding or artificial-looking) with enough left over to whiten again in the future!

The trays can be worn for anywhere from forty-five minutes to three hours. I only whitened for forty-five minutes each time and noticed significant changes after only two sessions. I whitened while working out, folding laundry, showering, etc. A multi-tasking moms dream!

Conpletely unedited/unfiltered. SO unedited that you can see where my old nose ring scar still stands + every pore and wrinkle. Yay.
