Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Even if I'm rushing out the door, I try to have at LEAST a banana and peanut butter. There's something about having a big, hearty breakfast that makes me feel more satisfied throughout the day and less like I want to stuff my face with pasta and cookies at night. It's my main meal most of the time with small meals every 2-3 hrs for the remainder of the day. The formula for me is a mixture of high protein (almost always EGGS... like 3 or 4 of them) / starchy carb (bananas or quinoa or both- I'm not a huge fan of grains since they're rough on my sensitive tummy) / and some kind of fruit or veggies. I try to incorporate fruits and veggies into every meal because they're just the best, but more on that later.
